Description

The aim of the centre is to bring together researchers within our faculty working on health and well-being related topics. The centre will be built around 3 different themes: Health in social context, Healthy Ageing and Health Interventions & Policy Development. Activities of the centre (e.g. brownbag lunches), will aim to touch on discussions (theoretical, methodological, applied) that are central in the Social Sciences. The centre will also continue and broaden the work of the BSS Healthy Ageing initiative by organizing a yearly symposium (formerly Symposium on Healthy Ageing) and colloquia. An additional goal is to showcase to the outside world our faculty's contribution to research in the area of Health and Well-being.
