The German Police University (DHPol) organized further education for staff involved in personnel management issues. As part of a three-day seminar, I was invited for a talk on best practices and pitfalls in decision-making in personnel selection. To bridge the gap between science and practice, I presented several decision-making procedures that are evidence-based and are likely accepted by practicing personnel managers.
