Description

The CRASIS Ancient World Seminar is organised by CRASIS, an interfaculty research institute dedicated to the study of Graeco-Roman Antiquity at University of Groningen. The Ancient World Seminar offers an opportunity for students and staff from all Groningen faculties and departments with an interest in the Ancient World - Classics, Archaeology, Ancient History, Religious Studies, Philosophy and the History of Law - to meet and discuss their research. The Ancient World Seminar gathers monthly during term time and invites early stage and advanced scholars from the University of Groningen and from other universities in the Netherlands and abroad. Papers are given on a broad variety of subjects and from a wide range of perspectives. I have been a member of the CRASIS Ancient World Seminar organising committee since I started my PhD, in 2012 and was appointed Secretary in August 2014.
