    Description

Protein quality control pathways rely on a complex network of molecular chaperones, protein degradation machinery, and tightly regulated protein recruitment mechanisms to safeguard proteostasis under physiological and stress conditions. Failures in these pathways lead to a broad spectrum of diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and a range of motor neuron diseases.

The workshop addresses all aspects of protein quality control from underlying molecular mechanisms to medical implications and therapeutic interventions. It brings together scientists from diverse fields of expertise ranging from molecular, structural, and cell biology to biomedicine, and incorporating research on all scales from molecular to cellular to organismal. Our goal is to discuss the newest results, identify synergies and make a common effort to answer the most pressing questions in the field.
