The Internet Engineering Task Force as the Guardian of Privacy Online: Developing Privacy Enabling Internet Protocols (invited remote participation at IETF 98, Chicago)
The Human Rights Protocol Considerations Research Group is chartered to research whether standards and protocols can enable, strengthen or threaten human rights. The Group, under the auspices of the Internet Engineering Task Force, aims at proposing guidelines to protect the Internet as a human-rights-enabling environment in future Internet protocol development.
