Description
At the ICS Forum Day in Nijmegen on December 12, 2024, I presented my PhD project titled Why Do Iranian Social Movements Fail? During the presentation, I introduced the core aims and scope of my research, which focuses on understanding the factors contributing to the failure of social movements in Iran. I outlined the theoretical framework, methodology, and key questions guiding my study, including the role of state repression, organizational dynamics, and discursive strategies in shaping movement outcomes.
The session provided an opportunity to share the progress of my work and engage with peers and experts in a supportive academic environment. This setting was valuable for receiving initial feedback and fostering discussions about potential directions and improvements for the project.
