Joint annual meeting of the Netherlands Integrative/Quantitative Microbial Ecology initiative and the Netherlands Association of Viral Ecology

The Netherlands Integrative/Quantitative Microbial Ecology Initiative (IQME) and the Netherlands Association of Viral Ecology (NAVE) are two recent efforts to strengthen the collaboration among Dutch researchers in the respective fields. NAVE seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaborations in viral ecology in recognition of the growing emphasis on the ecological role of viruses. IQME brings together researchers across the Netherlands to delve into the intricate interplay of microbial communities, physiology, and evolution, and how to understand and study these systems quantitatively. Recognizing the thematic overlap between these communities, our proposed joint symposium aims to drive idea and knowledge exchange, stimulate research in both fields, and create synergies through increased collaborations.
