Non-traditional families - Asta Berglind A seminar on how 'non-traditional' families combine their work and care responsibilities. The presented PhD research is interdisciplinary and aims to examine how 'non-traditional' families combine their work and care responsibilities in the current global economy. The focus of the research is mainly on working parent families that consist of two mothers with a child/ren, or two fathers with child/ren or single parent families with child/ren under the age of 8. The experiences of how the policies work for these families in practice are gathered through the methods of interviewing and participant observation.
Speaker: Ásta Berglind Verheul is a PhD researcher at the Private, Business and Labour law department of Tilburg Law School.
