Presentation discussing emerging developments in the limitation and regulation of trafficking and trade in weapons and goods that can be used for torture or inhuman or degrading treatment. Presentation makes linkages to the Arms Trade Treaty, the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention Against Torture and the general obligation to prevent torture and inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, as well as the EU Regulation (EU) 2019/125 concerning trade in certain goods which could be used for capital punishment, torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
