NWO press release:
70 million euros for pioneering science
NWO awards Vidi grants to 88 top researchers
A total of 88 scientists have each received a maximum of 800,000 euros to develop an innovative line of research and to build up their own research group. They have received a Vidi Grant from the Talent Scheme of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). The Talent Scheme consists of the Veni, Vidi and Vici grants.
The researchers are free to choose their own research subject. With this approach NWO encourages curiosity-driven and innovative research. The subjects the Vidi laureates will investigate are diverse and include avalanches in the deep sea, the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias using light, and how judges find a balance between EU objectives and national policy.
In the alphabetical list you will find all of the Vidi researchers and a brief description of the research projects.
