Description

Transplantation is a very successful and life-saving treatment. Yet, after transplantation, many transplant recipients face a multitude of health problems, impairing quality of life, length of life and duration of organ function. TransplantLines is a biobank aiming at finding biomarkers for early and non-invasive detection of health problems and yet unsolved questions that transplantation patients face.

For researchers outside of the UMCG a small fee is required to access the samples. A study proposal has to be submitted on a specific form (provided by Prof. dr. S.J.L. Bakker) and the TransplantLines research committee will judge whether the request can be granted and under what conditions.

All-cause mortality, Cause-specific Mortality, Graft Failure, Viral infections, Bacterial Infections, Diarrhea, Post-Transplant Diabetes, Rejection, Osteoporosis, Post-Transplant Obesity etc. etc.
