Organisational unit profile

We study the (macro)evolutionary consequences of individual behaviour and development. Specific research topics include:

  • the role of visual adaptation and phenotypic plasticity in cichlid speciation
  • (sexual) selection for disease resistance in frogs
  • urban evolution
  • Lamarckian thought in the age of epigenetics

Our main model systems are fish, frogs, flies and spiders.
