Research interests

The main focus of our group is on the chemistry and biophysics of nanopores. We are engineering, modifying and redesigning these protein systems for applications in NanoBioTechnology and Single-Molecule Biophysics.

We are using biological nanopores in:

       • Single-molecule enzymology

       • Single-molecule sensing and DNA analysis

       • Protein components for nanomachines
