Biosketch
Imke Christiaans (MDPhD) is a clinical geneticist and researcher. Her patient care is focused on inherited cardiac diseases. Her research has a broader focus, namely ethical, legal, (psycho)social issues (ELSI) in genetics. As associate professor she leads the ELSI in genetics research group of the UMCG/University of Groningen (ELSI in genetics research group), studying responsible development and implementation of genetic technologies, diagnostic and counselling methods, and screening.
