Research interests

My research has been focused on investigation of the aetiology of complex diseases, with a particular interest in molecular determinants and epidemiology of metabolic health and disorders. Currently special emphasis in my work is placed on the elucidation of the mechanism(s) responsible for the hazard effects of environmental pollutants on human health and its association with the risk of developing metabolic diseases
