Research interests

My research interests lie in the post-socialist transition of Balkan countries, with a particular focus on the impacts of the transition on the consolidation of democratic values.

In my dissertation research titled Governance Legitimacy in the Oligarchized Settings: The Case of Bulgaria, I look at the process of (de)legitimation of governance actors during the Bulgarian uprising in 2020 and 2021.
