Research interests

Van den Bemt has established a research line of medication safrety, covering topics such as prescription errors and ways to prevent them (e.g. computerized physician order entry, medication review), medication related hospitalisations, transfer of medication information between healthcare systems, risk models, quality of medication monitoring by pharmacies, adherence and error reporting. In the recent year the research line focuses on information technology, medication transfer and specialized pharmaceutical patient care. The research line has resulted in 11 PhD projects completed and 12 ongoing projects.
