Research interests

Patricio is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Transboundary Legal Studies (Faculty of Law, University of Groningen). His area of interest and expertise falls within International Human Rights Law, the Inter-American System of Human Rights, collective rights, environmental issues and decolonial approaches. He holds a Bachelor in Law with Certification in Public Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and an Advanced LLM in International and European Human Rights Law from Leiden University. The working title of his current PhD research project is 'Renewable Energy Colonialism in the Lithium Triangle: A decolonial analysis of the European and Inter-American Systems of Human Rights'.
