Raymond Adema (1976, West-Terschellling) is universitair docent (internationaal) belastingrecht aan de Rechtenfaculteit van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Hij doet onderzoek op het grensvlak van (inter)nationaal en Europees belastingrecht.
Hij heeft fiscaal recht gestudeerd aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Als student heeft hij onder meer deelgenomen aan het uitwisselingsprogramma met Queen's University te Kingston (ON), Canada.
In 2008 is hij gepromovereerd op de dissertatie "UCITS & Taxation. Towards Harmonization of the Taxation of UCITS".
Hij begeleidt verschillende promovendi die bezig zijn met onderzoek op het terrein van internationaal of Europees belastingrecht.
