Raymond Adema (1976, West-Terschelling) is Associate Professor of (Internationaal) Tax Law at the Law School of the University of Groningen. The interaction between (inter)national and European tax law is the main focus of his research.

He graduated (LLM Tax Law) at the University of Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. As a student he participated in the exchance program with Queen's University in  Kingston (ON), Canada.

In 2008 he succesfully defended his dissertation "UCITS & Taxation. Towards Harmonization of the Taxation of UCITS".

He is co-supervisor of several Ph.D students who are active in the field of international and European Tax Law.
