Biosketch

Sandra Phlippen is Chief Economist of Group Economics of ABN AMRO Bank and Endowed Professor 
of Sustainable Banking at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. As external advisor to the Council of State Sandra advises the Dutch government on national and European budget matters. As a member of the  supervisory board of the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, Sandra is actively 
engaged in current policy issues. From September 2016 to March 2018 she was economics editor at Algemeen Dagblad, a Dutch newspaper. Previously, she was editor-in-chief of ESB, the biweekly 
journal for economics and statistics in the Netherlands. Sandra Phlippen graduated from Erasmus  University Rotterdam and received her PhD in 2008.
