Fellowship for Innovation of Teaching

A university is as strong as its teachers. If a university wants to excel, it must cherish its teaching staff. As excellence tracks are most appropriate to be used as a testing ground, in 2015, the Board of the University has therefore started to award Fellowships for Innovation of Teaching (FIT) to those teachers who are involved in the excellence tracks of the University of Groningen (Honours College, University College, and Graduate Schools, which includes Research Masters). Teachers who are awarded a FIT will become part of a community of innovative teachers. With the FIT, the Board wants to express that it values teachers who devote their creativity and time to the development of innovative teaching, both in content and form.
