FSE Deeptech Pioneer Fellowship

Prize: Fellowship awarded competitivelyAcademic

Description

The Deeptech Pioneer Fellowship is a one-year program at FSE designed for PhD students and postdocs who want to transform their research into impactful businesses.

Many of the technologies developed by our faculty have the potential to address significant societal challenges. Starting your own company is one way to turn scientific discoveries into real-world impact and economic value. However, this journey requires considerable time and effort. The Deeptech Pioneer Fellowship has been created to support young, entrepreneurial researchers in this pursuit.
The Fellowship provides the opportunity to scale your creative, pioneering ideas and technologies into a plan for your own startup. These startups are ‘Deeptech’ ventures that leverage cutting-edge technologies—such as nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, green chemistry, medtech/biotech, robotics, and quantum computing—to tackle challenges in areas like climate, food, safety, and health.

Over the next three years, 18 Pioneer Fellows will be selected, with a new selection round every three months.
