Abstract
The article presents an overview of a comprehensive analytical framework which was proposed by the author to study performance evaluations in industry. A discussion of the role that sociological neo-institutionalism, social psychology and measurement theory play on specific parts of the performance evaluation process in industry is presented. The structures of several performance evaluation processes are discussed. The impact that the proposed analytical framework may have on the performance evaluation process is examined.
