A Framework for identifying and assessing e-business opportunities

Abstract

Many organizations have fallen victim to the hype around Internet and E-business. In this paper we present a method that stimulates organizations to think about the new opportunities that are offered by the Internet but at the same time gives them a methodologically sound insight into the specific pro's and cons. In this way the method guides the organization in identifying opportunities and in a following stage offers a multi-criteria tool to evaluate each opportunity from the organization's specific point of view.
