Abstract
This short essay aims to review the articles exploring the use of humor during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Research on pandemic humor has so far explored its themes, functions, and appreciation. Most studies focus on the adaptive functions of pandemic humor, particularly its coping affordances, its power to regulate emotions, and its potentials in building communities and fostering resilience. Several other promising avenues remain to be explored before we can fully appreciate the complexities of pandemic humor.
