Abstract

The objective of this chapter is to enable the reader to identify the main legal issues arising from the interrelation of the anthropocentric conception of the copyright regime and artificial intelligence (AI). The chapter considers, from the perspective of copyright law, the legal issues that have emerged from the increasing usage of AI in society. Starting from a general presentation of AI-generated artworks, this chapter analyses the copyright implications that have occurred in recent years. The first section is devoted to a brief overview of AI artistic applications, while the second section explores the key legal considerations relating to AI and copyright law.
