Abstract
Since the 1970s there has been a rapprochement in Academia between anthropology and history. Who were the most important advocates of this trend? Forerunners were the British anthropologist and Africanist E.E. Evans-Pritchard and the French historian Marc Bloch. Recent representatives of this trend are among others E. Le Roy Ladurie, C. Ginzburg, K. Thomas, P. Burke, R. Darnton, A. Blok and S. Schama.
