Abstract
The purpose of this study was to demonstrate that beliefs about attributes people have are related to psychological health symptoms and the motivation to vocationally reintegrate. The sample consists of 64 individuals who were clients of a professional service firm specialized in vocational reintegration. In line with the expectations, the results show that a stronger belief that attributes people have are fixed rather than malleable (an “entity” theory), is, through an external locus of control, accompanied by more psychological health symptoms and less motivation to vocationally reintegrate.
