Abstract

The aim of these thesis was to examine the theoretical and clinical relevance of distinguishing between (dysfunctional) automatic and more deliberated affective associations. This interest was sired by the development of so called 'implicit measures', better referred to as indirect measures of relatively automatic associations (De Houwer, in press).
