Abstract

P.F. Tammens was a farmer at the Ruigezand. In earlier life he served as a committee member in several agricultural organisations. After the German invasion of the Soviet Union he became a member of the NSB. At the end of 1942 he answered the call bij Mussert to become mayor of Groningen. After a while he became more and more radical.
