We suggest the method of microscopic calculation of the properties of vortices, valid at arbitrary temperatures, and calculate the energy of the static vortex epsilon(0), its effective mass and dissipation at T = 0. The method consists of expressing the energy of an isolated vortex (moving with the constant velocity v) through the dielectric function epsilon(q, omega) which is known for the BCS superconductors. The results for epsilon(0) practically coincide with the known expressions, with minor corrections. Dissipation and effective mass are finite. The parameters calculated may be used in analyzing the properties of superconductors, including HTSC.
