Abstract

As green solvents, Ionic liquids (ILs) own many favorable thermophysical properties such as negligible vapor pressure, high thermal and chemical stability. However, the huge number of possible structures makes it very challenging to select a suitable IL for a specific application. This thesis aims at developing computer-aided methods to design ILs for different separation processes, which can largely save labor and time.
