Abstract

Classical Cultural Education (KCV) is a subject that was introduced in Dutch preuniversity schools (gymnasium, athenaeum, havo) in 1998/1999 as part of a governmentinitiated innovation operation, in which four career streams and new subjects were introduced and a new didactics was propagated. The introduction of KCV was only a minor part of the operation.
