Abstract

Food allergy is a common problem in pediatric practice. This diagnosis can be thought off by history and sensitisation. However, the definite diagnosis of food allergy is based on a food provocation test. In this consensus of opinion from the section pediatric allergology the indications, implementation and the advances and disadvantages of open and double blind placebo controlled food provocation tests are discussed.
