Abstract

Staying power of the triple helix: The link between structure and stability of proteins under irradiation has received great interest in recent decades, especially regarding collagen. Investigating radiation effects allows the molecular basis of this link to be studied, and has triggered active areas of research and applications, notably for designing new biomaterials.
