Abstract
This article explores some of the legal, regulatory and ethical implications of artificial intelligence within the public sector in Colombia. It begins by giving a brief summary of the emerging technologies that will be increasingly frequent and why it is important that lawyers and regulators play an important role in its development. The objective is to identify the key legal and regulatory implications of three different systems that arrived in Colombia as AI tools, to begin a dialogue on how the existing legal framework in Colombia is adapting to meet the demands of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
