Abstract
Experimental data for electron impact excitation of neutral helium in its ground state are reviewed critically. A preferred dataset is established and combined with theoretical close coupling approximation data below the ionization threshold and Born approximation data at high energy. Results are presented in figures and tables. Maxwell averaged collision strengths are also tolerated.
