Abstract
This Technical Note examines the current situation at mission and at policy level with regards to the appointment and work of Uniformed Child Protection Focal Points, with a specific focus on gendered aspects. The Note investigates several aspects of the Uniformed Child Protection Focal Point system: its functioning in practice, the selection process, how it is underpinned (or not) in key mission documents, and how gender considerations influence the position and the process.
