Abstract
The recent discovery of a new occitan-catalan salut or love-letter in verse enables a new investigation into this neglected field of medieval Catalan literature. This first article offers a brief survey of the attention the genre has received so far in order to define the problems it raises; it then provides a new edition and a reading of the text that has recently come to light, and finally proposes a provisory corpus of Catalan saluts.
