    Abstract

Radioreceptor assays (RRA) have been employed for the quantitation of several tertiary and quaternary anticholinergic drugs in plasma and urine. In order to improve the sensitivity and precision of the method, the receptor preparation was standardized and optimized.
A lyophilised receptor preparation was considered as the most convenient for use in quantitative RRA. Here the good stability of such a preparation and the unaltered binding characteristics are described. Furthermore its applicability is discussed
