Abstract
I posit that those of us in the field of psychiatry have been for too long—perhaps since the inception of our discipline—quick to tell answers yet remiss to show how we got to them. My thesis is an attempt to “get behind the curtain,” to unveil some mysteries that should not have been—nor continue to be.
In the thirteen chapters of the thesis, I attempt to redress some of my profession’s enigmatic ways of teaching. My effort has been grounded in the adoption, development, and construction of theory-driven and evidence-informed research infused by the tenets of contemporary medical education.
