Abstract

Adaptive fact learning is a powerful tool for efficient memorisation of information. Having good insight into the learner’s memory state and behaviour is critical for understanding and supporting the learning process, both within the bounds of a single learning session and beyond. This thesis investigates theoretical and practical aspects of acquiring, maintaining and evaluating knowledge using an adaptive learning system.
