This thesis is divided into two parts. The first one is to investigate the distribution of GMs in ternary model membranes and its effects on membrane phase separation. The second one focuses on developing new multiscale methods, which can be used to enhance the sampling efficiency through Hamiltonian replica exchange or to increase computational efficiency by replacing part of the system by CG resolution.
