Abstract
The dispersion equation for additional transverse electromagnetic waves in a multicomponent amorphous insulator is analyzed in the vicinity of a narrow absorption line. Such waves can be excited due to spatial dispersion associated with fluctuation of the polarizability of insulator molecules. The conditions under which the dispersion relation of an additional (new) wave is mainly determined by the mean square of the polarizability fluctuations are determined.
