Abstract

Strong associated C IV absorption in radio-loud QSOs is postulated to occur at substantial angles from the radio source symmetry (similar to jet) axis, possibly at sightlines skimming an equatorial dusty disk or torus in these objects. The geometry maybe similar to BAL winds in radio-quiet QSOs.
