    Abstract

A number of aspects of body plethysmography were investigated in this study: measurement of airway resistance and thoracic gas volume, the relationship of these variables with other parameters of lung mechanics, with indices of alveolar ventilation and with arterial blood gases. Furthermore the influence of a bronchodilating drug (thiazinamium, Multergane) was assessed in patients with chronic obstructive lung disease. We will summarize the results of this study in the order in which they were presented in the previous chapters. Zie: Conclusions
