    This unique collection brings together essential texts from the history of thinking about Film and Media. The book contains a selection of key texts, some of which never appeared in Dutch before, including texts by Georges Méliès, Sergej Eistenstein, Dziga Vertov, Maxim Gorki, Menno Ter Braak, Siegfried Kracauer, Jean Epstein, F.T. Marinetti, Béla Balász, Germaine Dulac, Louis Delluc, Hugo Münsterberg, Paul Valéry and Virginia Woolf.Editors: Frank Kessler, Annie van den Oever, Patricia Pisters & Steven Willemsen. The book is an international co-product of the unversities of Groningen, Antwerp, Utrecht, Maastricht, and the EYE film museum.
