Abstract

Dielectric constant, specific heat and charge release measurements have been performed to study the FRL-FRH and FRH-PC phase transitions in Zr rich PZT (PbZr1-xTixO3). Both transitions have been described together by means of a two order parameters effective field model, in order to include the effects of cation shifts (related to polarization) and the tilt of the oxygen octahedra. The behavior of the physical properties is shown to be described consistently.
