    Abstract

    CzIH29C1NOsP , Mr=441.89 , monoclinic, P2,, a = 19.6588 (t3), b = 7.2079 (11), c = 7.9206 (5) A, t= 100-728 (5) °, V= 1102.7 A 3, Z= 2, Dx= 1.331Mgm -3, CuK~t radiation (graphitecrystal monochromator, 2 = 1.54178 A), /l(CuKa) = 2.507 mm-', F(000) = 468, T = 290 K, final conventional R factor=0.030, wR=O~041 for 3487 'observed' reflections and 351 variables. The crystal structure is stabilized by a network of N--H...O and O-H .... O hydrogen bonds. The phosphorinane ring is
in the usual chair conformation. The ephedrine, however, is in an unusual cis configuration (folded form).
