    Abstract

For students the transition to university life is a crucial period because it can set the foundation for successful study. Unfortunately, the move to greater academic and personal autonomy is often perceived as stressful and can impact on students’ well-being and academic motivation. This intervention seeks to facilitate this transition, by establishing and maintaining supportive relationships through a combination of fixed learning communities (LCs) and peer mentors (PMs).
